Dear Fr Thomas,
Could I suggest you read the homily of the cardinal from Kampala who is presiding at the mass on Dec 13th in Copenhagen, and maybe learn from someone who is living in the situation of suffering the consequences of climate change, before making the statement you have had posted on Dec 2nd?
You mention the loss of many jobs, what about the loss of many lives due to the floods/rising sea levels/melting glaciers which are the consequences of climate change?

In Light of the recent Climategate Email revelations that clearly show that top climate scientists have been involved in manipulating climate data to bolster their man-made theory on global warming. What is Caritas Internationalis view?

I told my parish priest about Caritas plans on climate change. We both agreed that we would be very shocked if any money our parish donated were to be used for this partisan lobbying. Can you guarantee that our donations will not be used to lobby for cuts to CO2 emissions?

We are more than happy to support victims of floods and famine, but dont want a cent wasted on plans which will result in the loss of many jobs. Is anthropogenic climate change defined Catholic dogma, or even proven science? Without an assurance that our contributions will not go towards this project, we will donate elsewhere.
