Copenhagen: Renew the face of the Earth

Caritas Internationalis and World Council of Churches are holding a public discussion on a “Renew the face of the Earth: Faith-based Approach to Climate Justice” at the UN Summit in Copenhagen.

It’s being co-sponsored by Church of Sweden, Church World Service, National Council of Churches Denmark, Asian Muslim Action Network and CIDSE.

It will take place December 14, 2009 Bella Center, Room 4 – 11.00-12.30.

Caritas Internationalis and World Council of Churches will bring ethical principles and the voice of faith to the climate change negotiations.

The Session will examine various faith-based perspectives on policies and action promoting climate justice.

The moderator will be Jann Sjursen Secretary General of Caritas Denmark

Introductory Remarksby Joy Kennedy Member of WCC Working Group on Climate Change.

Rev. Tofiga Falani President of the Congregational Christian Church – Tuvalu Rev. Fr. Erny Gillen President of Caritas Europa and Vice-President of Caritas Internationalis
